Take a tablet to Montpellier Lodge
On a Friday 9.45am-12 noon (we are trying to do one a month, but it is not yet a regular event)
We all use smartphones, tablets or laptops every day for email, web searches or social media. Are you getting the most from yours or would you appreciate some support or advice from others? Our Chair Dave Savell is hosting advice sessions at Montpellier Lodge on Friday mornings. No matter how basic your question, bring along your phone, tablet or laptop to chat to other people in a casual environment over a cup of coffee. For more information or if you would like to co-host the event please contact Dave Savell.
Cook, Chat, Connect
Wednesdays at 11am, Cook, Bath Road
If you'd like some mid-week company, just drop in to these Wednesday morning get-togethers at 11am in the café at Cook in Bath Road. It’s an opportunity for a coffee and a chat, and attendees also arrange other activities from time to time. The group now runs itself and we're delighted that it's become self-sustaining. For more information speak to Lizzie at Cook.
Do Say Hello - Walk and Talk
Every Sunday 10.30am Pittville Park
Join us on Sundays for a 'walk and talk' in Pittville Park. We'll meet at the Boathouse at 10.30am for an hour's walk (dogs welcome) and possibly a coffee afterwards. You can recognise us by our yellow gingham scarves. The idea is to meet new people and get some gentle exercise in a non-threatening environment. The walk environment means you can talk to different people as you go rather than being stuck with a single person for the whole session! Everyone is welcome. For more information please contact Vanessa.
This new group aims to bring people together to meet, mingle and learn something about their fellow attendees as well as hear from local groups about their membership and activities. We hope it will also enable people to find someone to join them in local activities, from a trip to the theatre or one of the festivals to a walk in the park. The group will develop organically depending on who attends. For more information contact coordinator Vanessa Ball.
This is an annual event that takes place on a Sunday in September, usually at The Exmouth Arms, Bath Road
Proud of your produce? Chuffed with your chutney? Then enter the Village Show! This year's event in the garden of the Exmouth Arms on Bath Road included a dog show (kindly sponsored by Joyful Dogs) as well as competitions for home grown produce, baking and crafts for adults and children.
