Scarlett Harris

​Our November 2022 Local Champion is Scarlett Harris, who runs the very busy ATC Floors and Doors in Tivoli and is actively involved with the Tivoli and Suffolks Traders.

​Scarlett was a founding member of Cheltenham Connect and has been one of the most active members of the core team, not only in keeping in touch with all the local traders, but in helping to organise and run many of our key events over the years.

But her real passion is helping animals. Not only has she adopted several rescue dogs, she has raised thousands for the Cheltenham Animal Shelter, enduring an arctic dog sled trek and more recently a desert trek along with Belinda Wilson from GlosJobs.

In October of this year she walked across Jordan down the Rift Valley from Doha to Petra and raised both awareness and over £5000 for the Cheltenham Animal Shelter. She found camping the biggest challenge but sharing with Belinda made it a lot more bearable and the effort really worth it in the end. "Petra is incredible and we did it in a very special way by climbing the back way to the Monastery and then seeing the treasury for the first time at night; stunning and worth all the walking."

As if that weren't enough, she has also provided a home for a Ukrainian refugee.

Originally, she came to Cheltenham to set up the Tivoli branch of ATC alongside the original one in Monmouth (which is still run by her mother). She's been here nearly 20 years. For her, the Tivoli shops are special because they are all independent traders, rather than big chains. And we should do all we can to support them.

She is currently secretary of Cheltenham Connect and believes it helps to inform and connect the community - and has helped her in promoting the shop. We're very proud of her!
